Trying out new products for the hair, to keep the roots at bay, the condition good and some new face creams too during Covid-19. Weekend Blog 6th May 2020.

Finally my much awaited product from L’Oreal  Magic Touch Root Spray, for touching up my dark roots arrived this week, its very good my only criticism would be its a small can (£6.00) and you do need quite a lot to get the coverage, its easy to apply and gives you instant results too.  My other exciting products also arrived this week, I had tried a sample from my Christmas advent calendar that I really liked by Nuxe which was a Gel Cream.  Nuxe is not a brand I have tried before and this is part of their Multi-correction range for first signs of aging, to act against the effects of hectic lifestyle, stress, tiredness and pollution on the skin.

Their products all contain botanical active ingredients which target the visible signs of aging, they use selected plants with precious properties, they do not use synthetic ingredients  instead using ingredients of natural origin.  This is one of reasons that I wanted to try these products as they seem similar to the Clarins range of products which I still find the best skin products however they come at a price.  At around £30 per product this range seems worth a try.  They have their own website uk.nuxe.com with free delivery and samples with each purchase, I have gone for the antioxidant anti fatigue serum but there are other ranges for anti aging within the range which I would like to try too.

I had quite a few vegetables left in the fridge last week so I made a roasted dish of root vegetables coated in olive oil, garlic (I use lazy garlic) and some herbs I had left over which were coriander and rosemary topped off with some garlic chilli salt.  I cubed them coated them all in the ingredients and roasted in a hot oven for 45 mins.  I had them for lunch just as they came out of the oven, gorgeous and with the rest I made a soup by putting the cooked vegetables into a pan with two vegetable oxo cubes and 700 ml of water and left to simmer for 15 mins and then liquidized them into soup which I had the next day!

Continuing with varying my exercise routine during lock down and managing an hour of exercise most days, this week included two long bike rides of an hour each and 3 runs of 5k each.

Stay safe, more next week.
